Femi Branch whose full name is David Babafemi Mauton Osunkoya was born on the 14th of May, 1970. He is a Nigerian poet, playwright,
film actor, director and producer.
EARLY LIFE
Femi Branch hails from odonsebora town in Ijebu North East, Ogun State. He attended Satelite Town Primary School at Amuwo Odofin for his early education, after which he proceeded to the Air Force Secondary School at Ikeja, Lagos. Then he went to Obafemi Awolowo University in Ife where he obtained a BA in Dramatic Arts.
CAREER
Femi’s career as an actor began in 1991 when as an undergraduate of Dramatic Arts at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife, he was part of the cast in the Yoruba stage play titled Eniyan. He also featured alongside members of staff of the department of Dramatic Arts in a movie Orisun. Femi did not really become a hit until his first appearance in a Television soap opera titled Domino where he played the role of Oscar. He has since starred in over a hundred Nigerian films, a few of which he produced and directed.
MARRIAGE
The actor is married to Tola and their union is blessed with two kids, Nuella and Nathan.
CONTROVERSIES
In 2015, Femi Branch was charged to court for allegedly issuing a dud check of 1.5million naira to De Santo Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos.
AWARDS
In 2015, He won the Best Actor award at the Nigeria Achievers Awards.
